Hello! My name is Béibhínn McCarthy. I am a Illustrator and Designer for Animation with a specialism in Background and Layout Art.
After graduating from The National College of Art and Design with a First Class Honours BA in Illustration, I have been working freelance on projects from children's books, to editorial illustration, to animation.
Last year I moved to the UK to study an MA in Animation at Arts University Bournemouth. I received a Graduate School Award and a Distinction for my final master's project, which focused on telling story and building atmosphere through cinematography in background art. 
I am open to relocation and remote work for a role in design for animation. CV available upon request.
